Our Project

The S's and B's did a project that included Time4Learning. Barns & Noble has this program where they let organizations wrap gifts free of charge. The group gets tips and for us it was about community service for our boys.

It is amazing how well the boys are doing in Time4Learning! Not a day goes by that they don't reference something to do with their Math, English, Science or Social Studies! It comes up in the oddest ways and every time I hear "I read about it on Time4Learning", I am thrilled.

The boys and I took a trip to Florida to tile my grandmother's Florida room. First was the process of laying out the tiles and figuring out the best way to lay them out so that the room came out even and it looked good. This week Zach was doing his math and came across the "tile" lesson. he was overjoyed at the thought that he knew exactly what they were talking about because he had just laid out the real tiles with me in Florida not so long ago! I love when real life lessons come full circle into something that they read on Time4Learning!

Another example of real life events being related to what they read is when their father was in an accident not so long ago. Seat belts and air bags saved him from being really hurt when he rolled his car. A few days later Q made a comment about reading about Time4Learning! It is great when the actually carry with them what they read about and study about!
